St. Ives

Concept

The clients were after a low maintenance design but one that would create a clean crisp ‘London feel’ and blend in with their recently built new extension to their Edwardian house.

The garden is of geometric design with a pergola situated off centre to create a focal point and help keep the eye in the garden. This helps to detract from neighbouring larger buildings. The pergola will be surrounded with new trees and planted with larger borders around to create a more secluded seating area.

hard-landscaping materials provide a mix of textures; a limestone threshold with light-coloured buff gravel in between leads you into the garden, juxtaposed with a dark DesignClad screen and planter to create a really striking entrance scene.
