Concept

The design draws on the Georgian and Jacobean heritage of the property.

The South garden is of a formal design, complementing the original geometric design aesthetic of the house and features a wild flower meadow with Aquilegia vulgaris, Centaurea cyanus (cornflower), Papaver rhoeas (field poppy) and Viola odorata (Sweet violet).

The North garden contains a quiet gravelled area named “The Shakespeare Garden”. Medicinal plants from the era, such as Lavandula (lavender), Foeniculum vulgare (Fennel), Lonicera (Honeysuckle) and Malus (Crab apple) grow here.
A woodland meadow creates a loose and natural atmosphere. Roses & herbs are abundant in the Courtyard garden. Both main gardens feature large gravel pathways surrounding expansive terraces that lead you into the gardens and through to each new space.

It’s both playful and functional with plenty of quiet areas to sit and relax.

Grand terraces, long walk-ways with encapsulating vistas and secluded seating areas, surround this beautiful Georgian house
