Concept

A modern versatile outside living space, with clean crisp lines and clearly defined entertaining and social areas for greater use and functionality. Planting is kept loose in the beds, juxtaposing the modern, detailed hard-landscaping. Hand selected sculpture and cutting-edge furniture designs were chosen to reflect the client’s creativity. The design remains respectful of the Victorian era with the client’s favourite roses and Trachelospermum jasminoides (Star jasmine), covering the bespoke galvanised steel pergola and yellow balau slatted trellis that surrounds the garden walls. Accents of orange, purple and white flowers burst through the green foliage. Planting has been kept to a limited palate to create a sense of calm and tranquillity. A reflecting pool on the sun terrace carries the gentle sound of water to help soothe away the stresses of a busy London day.

Continuity of hard & soft landscaping materials maximise space to create a big impact in this small city garden
